PCC Awayday The PCC are wanting to share with the congregation something of their work about the present and future of the church. To reach the largest share of the congregation we will do this as part of this morning’s worship. We are making DVD copies of the input for those unable to be here today.

Parish Weekend It has been decided that there will be no charge for children under 16, updated booking forms are available on the welcome desk. Book early to make sure of a place! There will be more information available within the next month. Please put your completed form and deposit in the box provided.

Wow On Wednesday Ann Moran will share about her life as a single parent at Café Vicarage 7.30 pm.

Thank You There is a letter on the notice board from the Dean of Wakefield Cathedral thanking the congregation for the collection of £711.00 at the Confirmation Service, this collection will be used for Mara.

DVD’s There are DVD’s of the confirmation service available in the church office for all the confirmation candidates, please contact Barbara.

Work for Church Day We are having a ‘Work for Church Day’ on Saturday 4th July. We hope to get some jobs done in the Church and Parish Rooms and would be grateful of any assistance that you can offer. We will start at 10.00 am and go through until about 3.00 pm. You don’t have to be there for all of this time, it would be great if you could just spare an hour. Please let Phil Atkinson or Jonathan Brennan know if you can help, what time you will be there and what kind of help you can offer.

An Advanced Notice The Yorkshire Philharmonic Choir will be returning to perform a special concert here in Church on Sunday 19th July at 6.30 pm. Entry is FREE but will be by TICKET ONLY. Tickets are available either from Diane Brennan or Barbara in the office. It is expected that this will be a very popular event, so get your tickets ASAP.

Prayer Diary The prayer diaries for July are on the welcome desk.

Normy’s Got Talent DVD available of the evening, if you want one let Barbara know.

Faith Camp Meeting for all going to Faith Camp after the morning service on July 5th to sort out transport logistics etc.

BBQ Before Don goes off on sabbatical there will be a BBQ in the vicarage garden on September 6th, more details nearer the event.

Do You Pay Tax? If so then would you like the church to earn extra through your giving? By filling out a Gift Aid Form (found on the welcome desk) and returning it to the treasurer, the church will receive and extra 28p for every pound you give. Last year the church managed to earn an extra £19,000 through Gift Aid which helped balance the books. The church does need everyone who can to gift aid their giving. If you have already completed a Gift Aid Form in the past, but this was some time ago, will you please complete another so that the treasurer can ensure she has up to date records.

Chris Moyles On his breakfast BBC Radio Show talks about the BBC televised Pentecost service: ‘That’s The Spirit!’ from Kingsgate Community Church (Peterborough) singing O, Happy Day by Tim Hughes.
